Your oral surgeon or periodontist will meet wit you first for a consultation, listen to concerns, and together you will create a plan that fits best into your life.
We will need current x-rays. If your referring dentist has taken x-rays, you may request that they be forwarded to us. Simply let them know which doctor you will be seeing and they can email the films to us.
Budgeting is an important part of life. Our doctors do not want finances to be the reason patients don´t get the treatment done they deserve – at the end of consultations patients have the opportunity to review treatments plans with trained patient advocates that will discuss how insurance plan works, financial choices, and how we can fit treatment cost into your budget.
The insurance claims process can seem intimidating, and at times frustrating. At Katy Periodontology & Oral Surgery we take great pride in providing the best experience possible, and most importantly, we don’t want finances to be the reason patients don’t receive the care they deserve. All providers are participants in most major PPO dental plans – call us today, and a patient care advocate will answer all your insurance related questions and get you an appointment at your earliest convenience.
Our office and your dentist will work closely together. If crowns and fillings are needed your dentist will provide them. Regular visits to your dentist are an important part of oral maintenance.
Periodontal disease is a progressive, painless infection. Delay can cause you further bone loss and more expense. If your teeth are lost, dentures are never as effective as your own natural teeth.
Contact the doctor’s office immediately. If this occurs during off-hours, Call the office number to get the emergency number. If possible, place your child’s tooth in a cup of milk as the calcium from the milk will continue nourishing the tooth. There is a chance we may be able to restore your child’s tooth.
We are here to make your experience as stress-free as possible. You will never feel rushed or herded, but instead will have individualized care. For many people who are apprehensive, we recommend general anesthesia as this allows them to go to sleep, waking up when the procedure is complete. We also provide nitrous oxide, known as laughing gas, that allows you to stay awake during the procedure, but in a very relaxed state.
